New Job!

So I finally have a job! Thanks to Kaitlin, I am now an activity assistant at Eskaton! I start Thursday and I am really excited! Wish me luck! :)

Fill in the Blank!

I know this is supposed to be fill in the blank Fridays but I am a day behind! I will be on time next week I promise!

1. If I could medal in an olympic event it would be figure skating! It looks like so much fun. or snowboarding!

2. If I was stranded on a deserted island I'd take my phone so I could check facebook and tweet. haha

3. Bees is/are my most irrational fear.

4. I'd rather relax and be lazy everyday, than work and be productive everyday.

5. I am excited about the party tonight!

6. I should really be getting ready but I had to harvest my crops first! haha

7. One of my favorite things in all the world is shopping :) I just wish I had the money to actually buy all the things I want!

40 days

This year for lent I am going to give up meat. I know it's going to be really hard but I'm really going to try. I am reading Skinny Bitch and they say animal products are bad for you. I already don't eat pork or fish so it will just be cutting out chicken and beef. I don't have enough will power to be completely vegan but I thought I would do a trial run of no meat and see how my body reacts. I love cheese too much! Wish me luck! If anyone has tips or suggestions for vegetarian meals let me know! :)

Top 24!!!

American Idol (season 9) officially has its top 24! There are 12 guys and 12 girls. I am so excited because this is when the show gets really good and favorites start to come out. Here are some of the people I really like so far:

San Francisco!

The fam and I went to San Fran for the day yesterday. It was a gorgeous day and I love the city. We drove across the Golden Gate bridge, which I haven't done in forever, and had a picnic lunch in Golden Gate park. It was a lot of fun but I think everyone else in California had the same idea. It was absolutely packed. The busiest I have seen the city in a long time! It took forever to do anything! We did do some touristy things like Lombard street and Coit tower but still haha. We had a nice dinner at the Franciscan and then drove home. (It took us an hour to get from Fisherman's Wharf to the start of the Bay Bridge! Eek! But all in all it was a fun day. :)

The fashion world lost one of its great designers today.
Alexander McQueen was an "English fashion designer known for his unconventional designs and shock tactics. McQueen worked as the head designer at Givenchy for five years before founding the Alexander McQueen and McQ labels. McQueen's dramatic designs, worn by celebrities including Rihanna and Lady Gaga, met with critical acclaim and earned him the British Fashion Designer of the Year award on four separate occasions." Green is Sexy!

There is one more reason to love Rachel McAdams! Her and two friends created a website dedicated to helping the world become more green. It is called Green is Sexy and has a bunch of tips about being more eco-friendly. I saw her on Conan and she said she doesn't own a car. She rides her bike all over Toronto where she lives. There are a lot of awesome tips on the site. Check it out!

Work it Girl!

On Monday my sister got me a guest pass at our gym and I have gone almost every day this week! Anyone who knows me, knows that I usually NEVER work out but I gained some weight in Florida and it is my goal to fit back into my Hudson jeans! It would be nice to lose 20 lbs...My sister has been going with me and it really helps because she know a lot about which exercises work certain muscles. We are going to try some of the classes too. I already know I love Yoga but I want to try Pilates too. There is a Zumba class on Saturday morning that we are going to try. Ill let you know how it goes. Wish me luck! Hopefully one day soon my stomach will look like this...
